Gya....there will be a Queens Caravan (seems there always is) from Cunningham park... since we will be hoping on the LIE to get to Sunken Meadow (which I am still kinda Iffy on exactly where it is and how to get there)

SUFFOLK GUYS you gotta clear this "How do we get there?" thing up....the exact address online is misleading (PO BOX) . I know its exit 53 or something off the LIE.....but the particulars from that point are fuzzy

I know we have 2 weeks B4 the meet date but uh....if there is gonna be a Caravan from Queens, at least one of us gotta know where to go....

Sorry guys I have been out of town on business all week and just got back. Trust me, my lack of posting wasn't by choice LoL. OK put me down for Hamburgers and Rolls. We will see how many people are going to show before we decide how many we need I assume.

Now I dont know what this adress confusion is but I will be heading out to queens to caravan with those guys that morning and if anyone from suffolk wants to join me I'll meet up in the south shore mall parking lot again same spot as last to ride out there. Should make for a nice ride.

Directions to Sunken Meadow are simple. You can either take the LIE to exit 53 (Sunken Meadow Pkwy) North and that will dump ya right into the park. The other way is to either take LIE to Northern State or if your starting in Queens, take the Grand Central which will turn into the Northern State and take that east to Sunken Meadow Pkwy North (forgot the number but I can do that drive in my sleep). The Northern State is a nicer ride, more curves, and less rocks from Semi's! It also drops you off about 1/4 mile north of where the LIE will drop you off.

Yeah, like Diesel said, just take the northern or LIE to the Sunken Meadow Parkway and drive on it until you can't drive no mo!

Once you're in the park, that's another story. Are we bringing our own BBQ's or are we going to use the ones in the park? I have a small one I can throw in the trunk, does anyone else? I figure 3 small grills will work fine for us.

Oh yeah, whoever said they're bringing coals is a frikkin genious! I'm the type of guy who brings everything, right down to the extra matches and forgets the damned coals!

Anyway, do you guys prefer a wooded area with built in coal pits or near the beach with fields that we can throw a football around or something?

you know what count me in forget about work my boss can live a day without me i was thinkin that since were having a bbq thing maybe get some cake. my boss does wonders with cakes and he could get a cake goin with a few g35s on it or even shaped like a g35. if this sounds cool with everybody put me down for bringin the cake

 

I just realized now that the 27th is the day of my engagement party. Don't know how I forgot that one.... but you guys can count me out. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
