Logistically, I don't think a cruise that long is possible. We'll lose too many people along the way. I think a queens->Suffolk cruise might be the way to go.

I propose:
1) Meet at St Johns, or another QUIET spot where the parking lot ***** don't harrass us.
2) Cruise down to Ocean Parkway like we did, then take the robert moses causeway up to the Sunken Meadow parkway all the way north up to Sunken Meadow Park. Parking is like $6 and there are BBQ pits. We show, shine and BBQ. There is a nice beach there as well as a bunch of VERY NICE trails. We can BBQ and hang until the sun goes down or whatever, then cruise home.

So you'll get a nice long cruise, see both shores, eat great food and be able to hang out longer. Everyone will also have maps and approximate meeting times so a straggler doesn't get completely left behind.

Another option is simply going to Robert Moses or Jones Beach and staying there, but then there's no BBQ. South shore is also very hot with no shade. Sunken Meadow has a bunch of huge lots and tons of trees. Also fields if we decided to pick up a football or lacrosse sticks and let off some steam. Fishing is possible as well. It'll also be a gorgeous backdrop for pics.

Eisenhower apparently is only for residents, so that screws many of us.

We can also arrange a future DPA meet where we can get some fast food and watch the cars go by. (I'll bypass cruising for tickets, thankyouverymuch!) I always had a blast heckling the 300 Mustangs that drove by every night as a teen. I'm sure it'd be an interesting time at the very least. [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I like Gregs idea of cruising to Sunken Meadow (international) Park - since it is a minute from my house. I will try to find out if we can reserve a picnic spot and the dates of availability.

We need an official name for our club....ideas??

a northeast G35/350Z club in the works.

The club is not up yet, it's being organized and worked on by the organizers of the ATCO meet. Hopefully, we should have more information sometime next month.

I like the Sunken Meadow cruiz to a park Idea too. So you have my vote for that one.

I'm down fellas...

 

I'm down too... just depends which weekend... Maybe I can convince my girlfriend to come out and sacrifice her out the moonroof (a la GForceI) as well so GForce's girl will have some company... I vote NOT for the weekend of June 12-13... going to Montreal Grand Prix that weekend.

 

How about next weekend, June 5?

That's a bit soon as far as planing is concerned I would think. I figure we should give it few weeks to get a crew together as well.
