I am in Middlesex county area in NJ. I need to get my car inspected but last time i went there it was rejected because i had tints.(THE TINTS ARE THE LIGHTEST POSSIBLE TINTS), u dont even notice them..

Now im wondering if there are any places in NJ that would pass me if i had light tints.. dont mind paying extra... If you dont wanna post here just pm me

Hmm...do you have tints on the front windows? If you do (even if they are the lightest possible tints), I thought that it was a no-no in NJ. However, it shouldn't be an issue on the rear windows.

I live in Jersey as well, and it is a def. No No to have tints on your two front windows unless it is factory tint. You either need to take the tint off or find someone to pass you! (or give them a nice tip for passing you). Good luck!

 

its very dificult these days. the state did a crack down a couple of years ago, when they privatized the inspection stations. they pulled the licenses of all the places that were passing peoples cars for a nominal fee. but i thought now you have to reinspect every 4 years for car newer than 2001. soooooooo, by a g, keep it for 4 years and then get a new car. thatll buy you another 4 years. or remove front tint, pass inspection and retint.
