Suggestions for New York City

Hey guys. I'm suprising my girlfriend and we are flying to New York. We will be there 12/21-12/25. We are staying the the New Yorker hotel. I bought a ring and I'm going to ask the question while I'm up there.

So I need some suggestions on where to do it? I've only been to New York once and it was in summer like 10 years ago with my parents. My girlfriend has never been. So I'd also like suggestions on some must see places/restaurant/bars.

Thanks guys.

- For a great dinner i still have to pluf Fig and Olive the food was really that good and ive eaten all over Manhattan.

- To propose i think perhaps rockefeller center. ITs very beautifull that time of year but a little crowded.

- Hope some of this has helped.. IM me if you have any questions.
- Congratulations and good luck!

Haha, thanks.

Wherever I do it, I'm going to ask someone to take pictures with my Xti so we can have pictures of me in the act.

Don't just do the tourist stuff and the fancy dinners. Cheap-n-good is part of the fun: 87 Baxster for Vietnamese (you can get a good tour of SoHo/Chinatown) & Shake Shack for burgers near Central Park West should be on your list.

My suggestion would b at the ice skating ring in Rockerfeller Center under the christmas tree, of coarse at night time. That would b memoriable.

Good luck, and congrats!!

Rockefeller Center is really nice, but to go ice skating you could wait for an hour or more. Tavern on the Green is a pretty swanky restaurant and it's in Central Park...

Congratulations.
