i was talking to a friend of mine about where to get a quality tint job done in the area. he just got an acura cl a couple weeks ago and has decided to go with a place called first impressions (i think thats what it was) on rt.1 in i guess edison. he said it was across from brunswick toyota...i can visualize the place a little bit since ive probably driven by it 100 times but i havent ever noticed it. anyway, i was gonna go check it out and see what they have to offer. he was telling me that they quoted him with a lifetime guarantee at about $150 for his acura. he also said they've been there 25 years so i guess the experience is there.

anybody have opinions on this place?....or have at least seen it before? the only place i remember on rt 1 is auto image and edison collison's "the tint shop" on rt. 1 north with that obnoxious green painted sign. i've seen some decent cars out by that place though before so i was thinking of checking them out too.

i've seen the place but don't know details. i've also seen the place on rt 1 south in edison and rt 1 north in edison, near the catena

This is the second time I got my car tinted at the Tint Shop on Rt.1 near Ray Catena. Both experiences were good. In addtion, they do only Madico film. Their only work is tinting, unlike other shops that "do it all", like detailing, alarm, stereo, and tint. Because tint is all they do, I feel they are more of specialist than run of the mill guys

do you have any pics of your tinted cars from there, i wanna see their quality especially on the rear window...also, what was the price?

Yes, that's the one. I paid $240 for the Madico. The rear looks pretty good to me given the fact it is difficult to do than average cars. Sorry, don't have a digit cam so no pic.

Hey traffic....I used to live in Colonia, where was that tint shop that you were talking about??
Also....I got my G35c 6MT from Ray Catena and the woman at the reception desk hooked me up w/ a tint shop that she said does all her stuff. It's called dynamic productions and she said it's in highland park. I'm droppin the car off the DAY after I get it I'll let you guys know how it ends up and hopefully post some pics

Be careful, Highland Park cops have a reputation of stopping people for little or no reason. I have tint and I avoid Highland Park and Metuchen like a plague. The Tint Shop, practically next to Ray Catena on Rt.1, does a fabulous job and tinting is all they do. I am almost certain the girl at Ray Catena gets a cut for sending you to First Impression so you are paying for it too! I have been in Central Jersey for a long, long time and I never heard of First Impression in Highland Park!
