Ticket Help... MA

I got a ticket for passing in a no pass zone today. It was 1 lane which turned into 2 lanes and i drove in the middle to get to the lane to turn left and the cop pulled me over. I requested a change of address last Saturday and the Registry confirmed by email that my request had been processed. The officer who pulled me over wrote down my old address and did not right my address new address on the back of my license.. does this make the ticket invalid?

Only if your hardcopy license has the new address on it.

I mean it's worth a try but in most cases the magistrate will ask to se your license for proof.

MGL specifically states that errors when filling out a citation do not invalidate them.

The RMV no longer mails out stickers that you'd place on the back of the license indicating the change; you're responsible to do such yourself and their website indicates such when you're filling out the form online .

It was probably an SP trooper assigned to a specialized unit who generally can't care any less about motor vehicle stuff. You must have been one shining star to get his attention

Yea i had a horse shoe up my back end. Luckly the kind officer who got me was my fathers friend. And its a long storey. Anyway, he cut me a break because he knows im usually a good kid and knows im pursuing my career in the Staties myself so an arrest would hinder that.
