What a scary feeling!!

got this from another forum i go on...pretty scary R.I.P to the ppl in that car
"A police officer in a new Lexus IS makes a 911 call describing what is happening to him. His accelerator pedal was stuck to the floor, and the brakes were not working. He ended up crashing and killing all four people in the car.
RFD discussion where I found out about the issue, including the recording of the 911 call:

Here's a site that deals with some of the reports:

Pretty nasty if there really is a problem with the fly-by-wire system in the new Lexus IS and Prius..."
Tony, Paul, Remember this happened to me also?

i dont know what happen that day to your car but i saw this one morning on the news and they were saying that it was the cause of the floor mats sticking/sliding over the gas pedal to cause it to get stuck. I have yet to see this happen to a Nissan/Infiniti vehicle but since Lexus/Toyota are one in the same, can see that happening with that brand. Have you had any other incidents with that happening to your car anymore? You sure your flipflop didnt get stuck in the gas/brake pedal......not saying that gas didnt get stuck like the report you have here but wouldnt there be more related type incidents with the same vehicles. just a thought????
