biggest debate is valentine 1 or passport.

i don't know all the technical issues, but i went with valentine 1 based on recommendations.

I have the Passport 8500. Works great for radar, but as with any laser detector, once you detect the laser signal, you've been tagged!

forgetting merits of one detector over another, laser is tough. your only real chance to detect laser in advance is if he was shooting at another car and your radar picked up that signal. if he gets you.....
