Re: G.SQUAD MINI MEETDetailing Seminar in LI, Sept

Diesel, good question.

I've thought about the Mr. Clean thingy for that reason alone. I would never use that soap, but just to have the filtered tap water. The filters aren't too bad cost wise either and last I believe like 10 runs. Figure if your only using it to rinse you can get much more then that probably.

but I hate that funky gun thingy. I use a "fireman's" nozzle for most rinsing and finish off with just straight hose to let the water sheet off the car. Dry with a blower followed by towels. And I still get damn water spots!

SO who is definate on this one?

I'll start the list for Booda (Pete)....dont think G-lines are needed for this...just a meet at the Spot thing...(short notice and all).....I cant make this one....but the Hiarchy looks like they will be there....Still dont know if we are gonna make this official "G.Squad mini meet" or just a unofficial get together...we'll see what the response is like....(I may change title on it).....but either way I'll help Booda push and promote it to whatever extent he wants to take it so .......

list looks like so far: (and let me know if I'm wrong?)

1. Booda
2. O_NO
3. Deisel1
4. Worlds - ?

hey diesel1,

i can answer that for ya. you can get a water softener/ionizer for your garage hose if you have hard water. from what i recall from my friends place on the island, the water is a little hard. by installing the filter, you basically remove the mineral deposits from the water, the same thing the mr. clean gun does. regarding which one, hrm you could give home depot/lowes a try.

if you don't want to get a filter, but still get the water, you can get a leaf blower and use that to dry the car. obviously if you dry the car in the sun, you will need to get after it faster.

i also have the same prob when it comes to hard water in jersey city, but i wash/dry one panel at a time. and i've also got a boatload of MF towels.

NYCG35

What did u expect ! Our boy BooDa wuz lookin for whos down and hands are popin up I can't make, let me check the charts if the stars are aligned if I'm comin yada yada yada. Dudes and Dudettes, if u r in raise your hand if not then lurk in the thread, it just complicates things as you see BooDa missed VinNYCG (which was an honest oversight) whos had his hand up already and it also complicates things for those who are interested and down for it plowing for any additional info. If ya wanna see your name in lights, start another thread.
Now is Vin coming once or twice, I dunno. =)

Good lookin out Neil!

V, when you get a chance, can you add Vin to the list (I can't edit!). Thanks!

Everyone, I called DD today to confirm the details . . . we're still on like tron (alright, I admit, that was cheese). Rumor has it the Ferrari club will also be showing. Now that would be dope. Strictly rumor right now.

OH . . . I almost forgot one thing. Matt (owner of DD) told me to tell everyone to bring their favorite detailing products . . . whatever you want . . . and he will show you proper technique for using them. So for Zaino heads like Diesel (and hopefully me one day too), bring your Zaino. Any body else, bring whatever you want. If you own an orbital polisher, bring it down, they'll show you how to use it.

Re: G.SQUAD MINI MEETDetailing Seminar in LI, Sept

Ok, here's who I have so far:

1. O_No
2. Diesel1
3. VinNYCG
4. Worlds ??
5. AxionF117 ??
6. bigbadbooda

Anyone else?

Since this event was so last minute, we won't do any formal G Lines as V said, but if possible I would like to meet at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Roslyn road in the Walgreens parking lot and roll from there as a group. This is literally only a block away/around the corner, but it would be nice roll in as a group and make an impression on these guys. Let me know what y'all think.

Works for me! I got my boys bachelor party at around 1 so I will need to bounce probably by like 11 or so! Still 2 hours should be good, hoepfully i'll have my car back by then! It's at Atlantic so who knows. In addition, they must have only 4-5 loaners cuz I got the same one again today! What are the odds of that!!!

Sounds good Worlds, no problems. Bring anyone you want! That applies to everyone else too.

By the way, I'm not 100% sure, but according to one of my boys, on the Acura forum they are saying that Bagels will be provided for breakfast and pizza for lunch. Don't quote me on that yet, but I'll try to confirm.

Gettin' close, only a couple of days left. Looking forward to getting edumacated
