Hey Guys...

Just a FYI... Sears Craftman has their 3 Ton Hydraulic Floor Jack AND two 3 Ton Jack Stands for $78.88 (Regular $120). This is the twist handle type Hydraulic... 3 or 4 pumps, and your car is up... The clearance is pretty low, and fits under my car fine (NOT lowered), and there's still a good 1" or so of clearance.

For those of you getting winter tire setup, this will definitely come in handy to swap out the rims/tires instead of using the little crank jack provided. Or if you plan on doing stuff to your car, changing oil, etc... might be a good investment!!

Very good investment IMO...

I'm gonna wait actually ...they sell that plus the tire stops, jumper cables, lug wrench and creeper seat....all for $99,

So if you wait for maybe the thanksgiving or Xmas sales...you might get a better deal..

BUT that is a HOT price for that set!

babiephat, it fits under the front of the car?? No driving onto 2X4's or anything? Wow, that's pretty good.. looks like I need to replace my jack.

I need a creeper though, so I may have to wait for that other deal.

I just picked up this piece . . . it does NOT fit under the front of the car. I had to drive up onto the Rhino's to get it under.

BTW, am I missing something. I didn't use wood to get on the Rhinos. Is it because my driveway is sloped slightly?

 

I meant was the jack low profile enough that you didn't need to use ramps to get under the front of the car.

Driving on 2x4's just acts like a cheap small ramp. Raises the car enough to get a jack under there. Don't need the 2x4's to get onto a ramp.

No, I did not have to drive on blocks to get it to fit under my car... The clearance was tight, but when you give an extra twist ALL the way left after lowering it, the Jack drops 1/2" lower... I had no problems with the front or back. (My car is not lowered)

What I actually meant by the front though was from under the bumper. There is a jacking point in the middle of the front of the car. This is the one I couldn't get to. I drove the car up on the ramps and then used the jack to lift.
