UpRev Tune

So the other topic was kind of a fail for a tune in the upcoming spring. I did some more research and found a pretty sweet shop Kaizen in Acton, MA. They have done a lot of work with quite a few GTR and a lot Z so they are very familiar with our VQ motors. Also a lot of other high end models.

They are not UpRev certified right now but they are speaking with UpRev already.

Perfect timing for us as I'm currently speaking directly with the owner and trying to get a deal worked out for a group tune/dyno/meet. They did a group thing for the Cobb when they first got it. So we can be the first for UpRev! Obviously the more that signs up the better prices we get. This is open to all G , VQ motors. I will set a date later but will not be till weather gets better.

If your interested...add your name =)

you must've spoke to Scott...he's a good guy and their work is great...not sure about the Uprev tuning though...i don't believe they've been tuning with osiris for awhile..usually, if you tell them that you know the guys from Yuppieracing, they'll usually hook u up...when it was warmer, they had bbq/meets all time...who did u speak to?

I would be down depending on when the date. If we are looking at late spring/summer I will be down.. assuming we get enough interest.

Just an FYI .... if Kaizen Tuning does not go through with UpRev... I'm speaking with DSG in Norwood as well. On the 350z forums, they told me DSG has been UpRev dealer for a while and tuned quite a few already. Matt the tuner their said he can give us a group deal as well. So .... SIGN UP lol

And yes this would be in spring time hopefully if not summer for sure.

I'm not bashing but I will warn you and my homie PSSSSH will as well if you want your motor to survive with a truthful and honest tune I would highly recommend staying away from DSG

Now for my Honda Matt was the man but I would not let them tamper with my VQ if my life depended on it.
Want an UpRev tuner call Scott at Ballastic Motorsports. Dyno time through his tuner is about 150.00hr.

Here's the story if you are wondering why I say this:

Matt strapped the car on the dyno and I was sent back into the waiting room/office

I could clearly hear them going high up into the RPMs with it then backing it down. About an hour or so later I'm brought out to the car still strapped on the dyno and shown a dyno sheet which clearly stated my car made an additional 50whp from the base run. Needless to say I was extremely happy and sang DSGs praises to anyone that was willing to listen. THat is until I went and saw Scott at Ballistic for something not too long afterward. The emanage ultimate I bought belonged to a friend that had gotten his car tuned in Scott's shop and Scott recognized the map on it immediately. Turns out all Matt did was adjust the timing by 2 degress and left the rest of the tune intact. While that may not sound so bad to most of you the part that makes it horrible is that the tune that was on the emanage was for greddy twins with 600cc injectors, dual exhaust and a slew of other modifications. None of which I had on my car.

After that experience with DSG my opinion is FVCK_U to DSG. And they charged me $550 to add insult to injury for the 2 degree timing change and fake dyno plot

If you end up at DSG for your tune do yourself a favor and kick Matt in the nuts with a heavy boot prior to letting him strap your car on the dyno. That way when he blows your motor up you can think back to the kick for a small piece of gratification/revenge

you've been warned...

I have to say seeing some of these stories is making me a little weary of DSG.
