Any good places in Herndon/Reston? I've always hand washed my own car but its going to be a lot tougher when the temperatures are dipping. Any suggestions around here? If someone has some names let me know!

I go over to my friend's house...we usually wash our cars around noon when the sun warms the air just a tad bit. He washes his Evo while I wash my car. I hate washing my car alone when it's cold out...people look at me like I'm crazy or something.

 

I don't know of any do it yourself hand wash places around here either. There is a Dr. Wash (or something along that line) right off of rt. 50 in chantilly. Its right next to the jiffy lube about 2 miles before you hit rt 28.

I was thinking of aplace maybe I could go during work. I'm off the Toll Road. I can't really wash it during the day unless its the weekends.

I'm right off of Fairfax County Parkway. I do see that there are some carwashiing places around in Herndon but I'm not sure I'd trust those places to wash the G. Thats why I was wondering if anyone had any experience with others around.

Hey, try detail authority in Chantilly, near 28 and rte 50. They do hand washes and waxes, and do a great job.

Hey thanks a lot. That place is really close. However its more a detailing shop (at least from what I see on the website) - Don't they just have a simple hand car wash without all the detailing. Even a hand car wash seems like it would cost $50-$80 in shop.

I'm moving up to Northern VA next month near the Lorton area. How's the scene up there? Do you guys have meets? Any mod friendly dealers? Any good roads to tear it up on?

I'm coming from Florida so I'm looking forward to some mountain twisties.

 

Yeah, there are meets with the Capital G Club. Are you going to be going to the Lorton prison at all? :-) J/K. Lots of scenic roads up around here. You should check out Skyline Drive when you get a chance. No really, that is the actual name of it.

I hear Evolution (Mike's sick IP G that was in HIN a few weeks back) also throws a few meets here and there. (Big one in the Spring). People also meet up with the Columbia 350z's, so there are plenty of very nice cars in the area to go around. You won't be dissapointed!

There's also 7 Car Wash in Herndon (clocktower shop) right off of the Toll Road. Centreville Road/Toll Road. They have different washes, the best being their 'Mini Detail' for $22, they do a great job....but its a long process...they have cheaper quicker washes as well....
