I remember when I was young and wrote words like plzz and added a lot of dots to my sentences............

I actually got 3 tickets in one day as well, different places, just a huge speed trap day, ended up paying like $1500 in fines and almost got my license taken away.

Learned my lesson. Payed it. And realized how stupid it was.

But points are off my license now. I drive maybe 10 over the speed limit, 20 at the most on open roads from Oklahoma to Texas, but there's no point, why are you in a rush?

(mind you I know that going 120 mph is "cool"... and gets you to your destination in 10 minutes rather than 25... it's just not worth it, leave early instead of speeding)

Wow man you obviously weren't thinking this one day. IF you were in NY, you would of gotten guns drawn at you , thrown out of the car, caught a beating, license automatically suspended for who knows how long, car impounded, arrested, and looking at a total of $5K in fines and lawyer fees.

Regardless goodluck.

Say 'goodbye' to your license for awhile plus a big fine.

I don't know how Jersey is, but if you were in VA you would have been locked up and probably put under the jail untill your court hearing, then at your court hearing, the judge would have beat the **** out of you then thrown you back under the court house!!

I know I had two tickets coming back from a buddies house one for 71 in a 65 and the other 65 in a 55 as the trooper rode my *** while I was trying to merge. First ticket was a mandatory court appearnce reckless driving (carried a jail sentence if found guilty) second was just a ticket.

Thanks to my buddy and his brother in law which is a cop, I hired a lawyer, bought a suit and just appologized and got off with a 50 ticket and no points!!

You are facing downt he barrel of a howettzer right now, I would take the tint off, get it inspected and the repair order signed off on, talk to a lawyer see what he/she says and beg for forgiveness and no points, because if you don't!?! You better hope your car is paid off because your insurance rates are going to sky rocket!

I would think that Jersey would be strict on this stuff..they are on everything else.

MA you would be in jail

Guy i work with at work was doing 95 in a 45. Cop who pulled him over was about to take him to jail because double the speed limit you can go to jail in MA..but dropped it to 89 because it was his first offense. Huge fine but no jail

You are luck you didn't go to jail. I hope they don't suspend your license for the excessive speed and reckless driving. Let us know how it goes!!! Or maybe they block g35driver.com on the jail computers?

That's funny!

If you were not put in jail already, I don't think they are going to.

1. Pay it all, in full. Remove your tints and bring them and pics of them removed with you. Wear a suit, nothing less. Speak eloquently and clearly state your story if given the opportunity. Offer to take driving school (again?) or community service if necessary. Go into this knowing you're getting the book thrown at you and there's nothing you can do to reduce it. Be prepared to have your license suspended for at least 90 days. If you luck out and get something thrown out or reduced take it for what it is - luck.

2. Learn from this. You could have seriously injured yourself or an innocent someone else, or worse, but hopefully you already know that.

I think it depends on the officers discretion at the time. Just like any other offense that carries a jailtime that isnt automatic.

Jersey has a lot more people that goto jail for more serious crimes. If they did speeding almost everyone in the state would serve some sort of time.
