Its OFFICIAL guys...Raceway Park has aggreed to host a Nissan/Infiniti day for us!!Possible Date is Saturday June 25th 2005. Here are some details

This years activities will consist of the following:
RACE EVENT: the event will either be in bracket racing format or heads up and will be broken down as follows
Class 1: All nissan/Infiniti No power adders N/A
Class 2: All Nissan/Infiniti with Power Adders ,turbo,SC,N2O
Class 3:All Nissan/Infiniti Bracket class

*Note that Class 1,2 will be of HEADS UP type, no handicap,first one to the end wins..Period...

There will be trophies awarded in each class for 1st,2nd,and 3rd place.

SHOW EVENT: The event will be hosted by the NJZCLUB and judged on a 300point system or a people's choice format and will have trophies awarded for 1st,2nd and 3rd place as well as best of show and others.

The show brakedown will be in NZCA format.

The pricing for the event is as follows and is dictated by the race track
RACE-$30 Garanteed 2 time runs prior to eliminations
Show-$20
Spectator-$15
Raceway Park will be providing all the trophies and flyers as well as advertising on their website!!

This event will be held on a Saturday and piggybacked on another MAJOR event so it will be crowded and everyone is encouraged to get there EARLY as space is limited. Management garanteed at least 4 full staging lanes for our racing and it will be an organized event. Get there early if you plan to race.

RaceBrake has agreed to sponsor the race event and will be giving away some product to the winners. Anyone interested in racing should get there as early as possible.

The organizers have blocked 20 rooms at the McIntosh Inns 764 route 18 East Brunswick NJ. Their number is 732-238-4900 or 800 444 2775 the room rates are $82 plus tax and the group code is under the NJZCLUB #1443. All reservations must be by June 10th!!

I'll be down!! That's not even a tank of gas to have some fun with the G!!

 

IIRC, its $22 on a typical wednesday night if you want to race. The extra $8 allows us our own "private" race including the 4 staging lanes and to cover the cost of trophies and what not.

But there are three price breakdowns, depending on what you plan to do:

If you plan to race - $30 (even if you have no hopes of winning, you will get three runs in, which is usually what you will get at a drag strip)

If you plan to enter the car show competition- $20

If you just want to hang out - $15

At this moment, if you are racing, then you can't enter your car into the show competition and vice versa. However, if you are eliminated or your class isn't racing, then you will be parking in the area with the rest of the Nissans/Infinitis. So if you decided to race that day, you won't be apart from the rest of the action when you aren't competeing.

Well, the first two runs will be regularly timed. But once the competition starts, reaction time comes into play. It will truly be heads up. Your 14.1 won't help if you can't mash the gas before the other guy.

friggin great... just when i thought i was going to quit the modding for a while, you guys gotta go and do this....

looks like i have 6 months to tie up all my modding plans and try to make her a showstopper

(notice i didn't comment about the racing... my G will be quick, but i'll probably still get hammered by marty mar on the strip)
