Has anyone had delivery of their Q order yet, here on the east coast? I special ordered it back in January, it's been a long wait!

I ordered in Feb but got a Q order. Hasn't arrived yet, dealer is still telling me Aug delivery. I'm still hoping it will show up in June.

I'm in Virginia and I don't know the timeframe from the ship hitting the east coast and delivery to dealership. Less than two weeks should be standard.

Can't wait for my car to come!

 

Since I didn't want a sunroof but wanted the leather, I had to wait until there were enough orders to go into production. I know the car was built in April (all Q orders) and I do have the VIN. The dealership thinks it should be here the end of June. There is a good chance you'll have your's by then too.

 

Yes, I agree. I think my salesman is not being informed enough by the sales manager. I usually have more info than they do. He didn't have a VIN yet, but I suppose that was because he didn't look for it.

I think the car will make the states this month, and arrive end of June or beginning of July at the latest.

Q orders

1. Ordered by dealer first week in April
2. Built in May
3. Shipped from late May to early June.

Shipping time from Japan to the East coast approximately 5 weeks. The cars are shipped to New York.

You'll get a VIN once your car is in transit. When the cars are unloaded from the boat in New York your vehicle will show up in your dealers inventory, eventhough your car hasn't been delivered yet.

The shipments arriving in New York are as follows:

Hual Marina Ace left Japan May 16st, arriving June 21st
Hual United Spirit left Japan May 25th, arriving June 29th
Hual Treasure left Japan May 30th, arriving July 6th
Hual Ocean Spirit left Japan June 6th, arriving July 16th

You can check your dealers inventory at infiniti.com.

I had a VIN on May28, I'm assuming my G will land in New York on June 21st and arrive at my dealer 4 days later.

I've already seen this info posted on the various websites, but I guess mine must be on the last ship to arrive if the dealer is showing an Aug delivery. If the last ship left June 6th, then I should get my VIN soon.

I was just commenting on how the dealerships seem to be the last ones with the info. It's their job to track and follow up on this stuff, you'd think they could be more on top of things. Customer service seems pretty much non-existent unless I call them myself.

Your comment about the dealerships being the last to know is right on. I found out I had a VIN from the dealer who runs the fresh alloy website almost two weeks ago. My dealer still hasn't notified me that I have a VIN or that the car is in transit. Go figure?

If he's not working, what does he do in his spare time?

Actually, my wife just told me that my car will be delivered July 25 (the salesman called when I was at work Friday). So in all, it will be 5 months from me ordering at the dealership to delivery. I've actually been contemplating re-ordering an 04, but I know I'll be far down the dealer's list and wouldn't have a car until Christmas.

My dealer said my G is scheduled for delivery July 19th but says it may come in sooner. Meaning that he's not really sure when its coming in.

I consider it highly unlikely that you'd have to wait until July 25. The shipment that left on May 30th was probably the last Q shipment. Worse case your car lands in NY July 6th, best case June 21.

I feel your pain, I ordered my G on March 8th, missing the F order cutoff date by 2 days. Since then I have been driving myself nuts by reading every post on 4 separate forums, including the Fresh Alloy website which has 10,000 posts on the G-35. Two months ago I was fine with the wait, but as the "Moment" gets closer I find it more difficult to not obsess.

I know what you mean, I check the dealer's online inventory several times a day to see if it is updated.

Hopefully the car will be here sooner.

Yes, I got my G July 11. What a wait, but worth it! I love it. It becomes a part of you. I bought mine to be driven, lots of road trips planned already.
