NJ - ppl with orbitals

Hi,
My car was keyed the other day, and i was recommended to use an orbital to fix it up, its not deep at all

I will be leaving for college in 15 days and it doesnt make sense for me to buy an orbital right now (and i never used it before so I would probably mess it up). I am willing to pay someone to help me with this.

Thanks in advance.

i stopped by ATX in bergenfield today and got an estimate, $700

i though it was minor, i guess not, they said you cant buff it out and would have to repaint the whole panel.. are they telling me this because they want to make some extra money or is it really not fixable with an orbital, they said the way to tell is to put your fingernail in the scratch and if it slips, then its too deep.. they said it slipped..

player try this on your own.

It will only cost you like $15 plus some time.

Wash your car real good with dishwashing liquid and dry it real nice

Have yourself a bottle of Meguiar's NXT it removes swirl marks and minor scratches.

At least its something that won't dig deep in your pockets and something you can do on your own if it covers it up to the point where it won't bother you as much.

Meguiar's NXT or if you want something a little harsher i would say try to find some hand applied compound and then do NXT.

OUchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

That def needs paint work but like i said try what i said and see if it helps HIDE it to the point where its hardly noticeable.

i say use compound(3M Scratch Remover or NXT alone will not help) you will need compound work just try going to a local detailer and see if he can help better $150 than $700.
