Just moved to NH - Where can I get a sticker with Tinted Windows?

I just moved to NH from MA and I am getting more frustrated by the minute! I have tinted windows and every place that I have asked about an inspection has told me that they will fail me for them. Granted, they are pretty dark but there has to be somewhere or someone who will over look the windows... Right? The fear from the shops that I have talked to is that if a cop finds out who gave me the sticker, they could "shut down the shop", which is just INSANE! First, I would never rat anybody out and secondly, for all the cop knows, I got the sticker before the tint.

Does anyone know where or who would hook me up? Even if I had to pay the person something on the side, that would be fine. I just really DO NOT want to take the tint off to pass inspection.

Thanks for your help.

Brad

Can't help you, because I'm in Arizona. But just a comment. Aint it just grand how all states have standardized laws about these kinds of things? This is America for gosh sakes, you think we could get our act together.

I have the same problem with the front license plates. Went to a couple of places and they told me that I need a front plate. Just moved up here from Mass also. Funny thing is that the front plate is required in Mass too, but had no problem inspecting it there.

If anyone knows where I can go for an inspection in NH where they can overlook the front plates, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably buy the kit which screws into the tow hook, just for the inspection and then take it off.

not gonna happen. Now a days the DOT registers each sticker to the shop based on the original book it came from. You may not rat but the sticker will.

Best bet is slip your eye DR a $100 and he can write you a "prescription" for tinted windows which you present to the DMV for a special registration...then you can get all the tint you want

Yea, because cops dont use the internet, and wont find your post.

Maybe even a few own G's and just happen to be here?

As for the plate, I just taped mine on for my inspection. The technician tried giving me ****. But he couldnt point out where in Mass General Law 90/9B it states screws or other threaded fateners must be used. It was secure and upright. Interestingly enough, he didnt check anything else. He just hooked up the inspectoin terminal to the car's plug thing under the dash, and that was it. No lights check, no ball-joint check. Just **** about my plate? Someone was compensating for small *****, or not wearing the "pants" at home...
