my g went in for oil change / minor fixes and i come out with a body job. the service ppl were nice and will pay for the body job. the point is the car is not going to feel the same anymore. i received 2 dents, 1 on the driver door and 1 on the passenger door. how f up is that? the service was at park ave infiniti.

Well that sucks. I was actually planning on getting my car serviced at Park Ave, too.

Re: here is a new one

BlueGCoupe,

Don't get me wrong, they are very polite. It may just have been my luck. I did get a I35 loaner and it was fairly good. They didn't ask twice about the damage and just told me "we'll fix it". They did find a couple of TSB on the G and voluntarily fix the issues without me asking. I've heard most dealership are the same so who knows. It is all about luck.

Re: here is a new one

icings,

Yeah, I know they're polite there, I bought my car from them and I still plan on going there for the servicing. I'm just glad you posted that because I probably would have never thought to inspect my car for damage after bringing it in for oil changes and other stuff. Now I know better!

Re: here is a new one

really? wow, i have to say i'm a little shocked. i'm almost on a first name basis w/ the service manager there. and he's always been receptive to my concerns. i just wish they were a bit more receptive to mods

What's wrong with your tranny, G35Girlie? Auto or manual?

Re: here is a new one

manual...grinding 3rd and 5th gears and my flywheel gets stuck spinning when you put the clutch in to shift from first to second gears.

Re: here is a new one

Your flywheel is bolted to the end of the crankshaft (inside the engine), therefore, as long as your engine is "spinning", then your flywheel will be spinning too.

In other words, I don't think you have a problem with your flywheel from what you have described.

Re: here is a new one

not sure what it is then...something is still spinning that shouldn't be, and someone even heard it and said it sounde3d like the clutch wasnt disengaging or something like that.
