You really want to take it to a shop that uses a hunter balancer. It's what you will find in most high end places... ferrari, lambo, porche, and yes, even your local infiniti dealership uses a hunter machine for balancing. Pep boys doesn't... LOL!

Cost is greatly dependant on wheel size as well.

Hey thanks Afro, cool link, looks like good ole Lynne uses a hunter machine. But i been told it may not be a good idea to go to the dealer to get mounted wheels on the car balanced.

S-Tund , do you know if BOB has a Hunter balancer? It appears he is not on the list in the link that Afro so kindly provided in his post.

Thanks

S-tuned and Glex so you guys would recommend bob then? They will be gentle on aftermarket rims and get the job done right I assume?

Most specialty shops are. Just voice your concerns to Bob before they start working on your wheels. Make up a story how you got screwed at xyz dealership in NY, so you are a little paranoid. They'll be sure to set your mind at ease and take care of you. In my experience, you can't assume you are going to get great customer service. But if you ask for it, then you'll definitely get it.

Let us know how it goes with Bobs. I'll need to look into a location myself when my toyos wear out.

Ihave dealt with Bob's Wheels thru 3 cars already and never had issues.
They sell big wheels and do wheel aligment on cars that are dropped and have big wheels also which many other shops can't.
Let me know when your planning ongoing i have to go soon to get a wheel aligment myself and maybe some camber correction parts isntalled.
