Hey guys,

I made it out to Infineon Raceway yesterday for the Wednesday Night Drags, after having not gone for years and had a great time. This is the first time that I came before the gates opened, so I was able to get 3 practice runs in before the bracket racing started. I'm planning on going again with a few friends next Wednesday, July 19th and wanted to see if any other G35's can make it out there.

Gates open at 3:30PM, bracket racing starts at 6:00PM, so it doesn't really matter when you get there. I'm planning on coming @ 3:30, as I want to get as many runs in as possible. If there's enough interest, we can setup a caravan to get there.

It takes 45 minutes to get there from the Walnut Creek area, and 45 minutes to get there from the Burlingame Area, so it isn't too long a drive...

So, whose in, and what time do you plan on being there? I'm sure we can get at least 10 people to represent for the G35's there.

oh dude...

so, i'm on 280 south yesterday, with my girlfriend, going to Fry's in Palo Alto (her idea - she's such a geek! ). and there is a silver ferrari (360?), cruizing at about 90... so, i catch up with him, get behind him, we're in left lane, with an SUV in front of the ferrari. so, i figure, if i get my *** handed to me by a ferrari - no, not if - when - it'll be fun, and at least i get to hear its engine note.

so, the SUV gets over, and i can see the ferrari accelerating slightly, so i figure - what the hell. throw her in 3rd gear, going about 70 at that point. and...

MY RIGHT CRAWFORD CAT CRACKS IN HALF!!! (it's had a crack in it for a while, and i've been waiting to replace it)

imagine experiencing a sonic boom. OMFG! i thought i was deaf. we couldn't talk, everything in the car was resonating with the roaring noise of the engine.

i stopped even paying attention to the ferrari - i think i scared the living **** out of him, 'cause he slowed down and pulled to the 2nd lane.

so, i get off the highway and take a look - the cat is split in half, the y-pipe is still holding a piece of it, dangling. we turn around and go back home. acceleration - neutral - acceleration - neutral... WOW.

so, this morning i packed up my stock exhaust parts in the car and limped to Z Car Garage... 50 miles... can't hear to well right now. my head is still vibrating a little. my a$$ is tingly. it's LOUD!!! i mean.... wow.

Rob said that he'll try to get time to work on the car today. i told him to take the fuji apart and stick it in my trunk. so, you may have your new exhaust sooner than i thought.

 

Oh damn, sorry to hear that, who's getting a new exhaust???

Lets get back on subject as I see someone posted thread failure

 

Oh man, sorry to hear about that, but your story did make me laugh! If you can drop by with the Fuji today, that would be awesome. Can you also ask him to give you (me) new gaskets for the exhaust? I'll obviously pay for whatever the costs are for them.
