Since I can't help out with those anymore, I'd suggest calling the local gas stations to determine which one will charge you the least amount for labor. You should be able to find something around $10-15 even including oil & filter. I would suggest bringing your own oil and filter though (if you want high quality) (and don't forget a new crush washer).

No sure, I never go to the dealer for that stuff. I'd be weary of the dealer in general. I've changed oil on on some Gs where there were several crush washers stuck together because the dealer was too lazy to remove the old ones... that could cause a problem - just not how I'd want my oil changes to be done.

 

any places you would reccommend, maybe a midas or something.

I also have rims so it would be ashame if something happened (volks).

Stay away from midas, especially their "lifetime brakes", those places are major scammers!! I wouldn't even trust them with refilling my wiper fluid.

I would check out gordgees grounding kit....definately more cash but good stuff especially if you own a Auto G. If you do end up getting the ebay one, I would just look for Gordgees install page...it's here somewhere. BTW, why did you want to get a grounding kit?

 

I now have weekend access to a garage with a real hydraulic lift - so full service once again!

The shop is located in Sunnyvale and every few months we can organize to do stuff there.

i need some help with my grounding kit, in cabin filter, engine air filter and brake fluid cover. eugene, how about we block off some time at this shop in may? first or last weekend?

 

l need to change my oil soon too. Maybe if we set it up for the same day, I'll help you out with those. I think I hold the unofficial in-cabin filter changing record.

 

What kind of help do you need with your brake fluid cover?

 

Eugene, what kind of costs do you have for shop rental? I think it would be fair if whomever was using it would throw in a few bucks to cover your costs, or at least some food, beer, strippers..etc.
