If anyone wants an alternative to them in the area, check out Roger Kraus Motorsports in Castro Valley. I went there for corner weighting/alignment, and had a positive experience. They are a true performance suspension setup shop, so they know there stuff.

i have taken my cars to this shop for years and they havent messed up any of my cars and plus i have taken tons of my friends cars there too. i have had yet to complain. Maybe its because i have spent tons of money there on parts i have no clue. i have changed my suspenion on my civic about 3 times there and lowered my car to where it scraped on the alignment rack and that is with wood on there. so i dont know what happened to you and your car but sorry if you had a bad experience. Ron and Ken are great people and i love doing busniess with them.

Thanks, I've heard good things about them too thats why I drove the miles to their shop, but this is just unbelieveable. Fuxker lied about my tires being in the wrong directions!! Even gave me the looks as if I was wasting his time. Turns out, HE was the one that switched it the the wrong directions.

I went to Motorsport Techniques when I installed my new shocks, springs, wheels and tires. I never went back. I was only charged 80-100, I can't remember but they were quick and cheap. Someone recommended them but I will never go back. I don't like cheap quickies. lol.

When I asked certain questions they automatically assumed I knew nothing about cars which was their biggest mistake. I think since all the ricers go there, they assume everyone is a ricer. When I asked them about camber adjustment kits, they said it was "not needed and don't worry about it". I KNEW I needed them but I just asked anyways. Both sides were uneven and they just said, "it's close enough." I don't take close enough for an answer for something I am PAYING for. I don't even use the words "close enough" when I do my own installs.

I ended up installing front and rear camber kits and taking it to AutoInnovations in Milpitas and they did much better. Got my car REALLY close to my desired specs and both sides were EVEN. They took their time, came out and kept me informed with updates and notified me of a caster difference on my fronts. My car felt so MUCH BETTER.

Here are what my friends have to say about their business:

"Sigh...I didn't get good results with Motorsport Techniques. I figured it'd be convenient for you but I guess not. Orignally I've always went to my local Big O tires but I thought I'd try something different expecting better results when another friend had recommended Motorsport. I didn't like the alignment I had recieved so I'm never going back there again. I had my local Big O Tires do an alignment after Motorsport and it's all good now. However, after I get all my suspension stuff on I have to find a place that can corner balance."

".............. I have too noticed that when I got an alignment done at Motorsport. The specs were fine but only when I let go of the steering wheel. When I straighten it, it would pull to the right. Maybe his eyes were slightly off again but an alignment is useless if the steering wheel isn't straight during an alignment."

"Funny thing is when I got my alignment the guy blamed it on my right pulling due to my tires too. My tires were worn so I didn't question it, but it had done the same thing when I got new tires too. So, I went to my local Big O Tires and the specs were off. They aligned it and it's all good now. They need to calibrate their alignment machine. I'm getting tired of these hit and miss shops."

+1 on that. I go to Auto Innovations for my alignments.

CIA, did you report them to the BBB?

What are you doing about this situation besides complaining on all these forums?

+1 for auto innovations. I've had them do my alignment twice after installing shocks and springs. Both times I had them do it to custom specs for performance reasons and both times they were really close to what I wanted. If you want an alignment done right that is a great place to go.
