Thanks guys, I don't want to really go into cost too much but we all know having an engine rebuild costs around 7-9k including labor and remove and installation of the engine, the APS kit is around 7000+ I think, then there are always costs of unexpected items which arise.

I ran his friend who said he would go at 40 and I took him by 15 car lengths.

This was on a Friday night and Saturday I was on the phone with the shop asking for more power. Difference is night and day, more torque comes in real handy...over 100 more than I had with the Vortech, also I have full boost way earlier, there is no lag on these APS twins, only downside is that there not CARB legal so I have to be more careful how I drive.

This setup netted 563whp on the other cars it was installed on and with 100 octane and methanol was close to 700whp but I am not that crazy and just wanted something a tad quicker.

On my test as a daily driver I managed 27.7 miles per galloon which is 1 mile less than what I was getting with the Vortech.
Sound good, I look forward to seeing your setup at one of the local meets some time soon

Congrats!

Would you say that it was worth the extra 7K doing the internals?

Paul, Chris . . . You guys are killing me. I just decided to leave my G as is. Hehehe . . . And I told Carol to grab a baseball bat if I changed my mind. I think that Tu is going Vortech. I'll bite my lip and simply admire everyone's highly modded out G's.

Chris, for what I intend to finish up with i.e final numbers I would need to do the internals as it is a piece of mind kind of thing...you know what I mean. I called around today to get prices to see if I got a good deal on the rebuild and the going price is betwenn 9.5 to 10k so it is a big leap from just getting a TT bolted up to getting the engine done as well.

Andy don't worry I have probabaly 3-4 more items left to get and I am finished myself, I just want to be able to enjoy the car now, it might be going into Robs shop next week for 2 of them items but we shall see.

Always remember there is always someone who has more parts or is faster so it is never a bad thing to stop modding at any given time

There is NO way I am doing internals. My rwhp and torque goals is a safe 400/400. I will be happy with that. You are crazy Paul!

After my new bodywork (Authentic Top Secret Front Bumper and Sideskirts on the way from Japan) and the JWT TT, I will FINALLY be done with the G!!! FINALLY!

Andy, I envy your will power.

Andy dont speak to soon.... I might entice you to go SC after my car gets back from Vortech . Looks like theres not too many others g's here in Norcal going with the SC setup so you and I can be different . Worst case scenario you can just buy yourself a helmet to absorbe the blows j/k

Hey, Tu . . . Hehehe, I think my non FI decision is final. As I told my wife, if I do change my mind, hit me with a baseball bat. I decided to pass on FI'n my G and just pick up another car. It would have been great to have a sleeper G though. LOL . . . Where can I purchase a high quality crash helmet?

Seriously though . . . My son may decide to go to medical school . . . In which case going FI would be a much more feasible/practical option for me. We'll see . . .

I'm planning on going SC soon as well. Most likely leaning towards Stillen Stage IV...

I was planning on the Stillen SC stage 2 for starters, because of the CARB certification. However, the wife has given me the thumbs up for this . . . .

Now . . . I am liken to a kid in a big candy store and cannot decide. I should get another piece of property, but you can't take it with you.
