my experience tonight @ the gas station

this forum has felt pretty dead for a while now so i figure i'll pitch in a story from my evening tonight....

so i pull into the gas station by my apartment complex and start filling up. i notice a nice black porsche in the filling station behind me and an older white guy chilling waiting for his tank to fill up. i notice him looking over at me and checking my car out a couple of times. i figure maybe he's also an alum from my school and he was looking at my license plate frame.

he comes over and starts chatting me up about how he had an M45 and how much he loved his infiniti but he traded it in for the porsche. i asked him which one it was (i couldn't tell, but guessed it was a carrera) and he said it was the carerra 4s. pretty hot little car. anyway he kept saying he missed all the creature comforts in the M and he really liked the G too. pretty nice guy and he complimented me on my car. i told him i'd trade him right now if he was feeling that nostalgic

we pulled out and i was hoping he would pull up next to me at the stoplight for a short little run, but he stayed behind me. overall a nice guy and it was the first time my car was a conversation starter at the gas station.

BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
props from a PORSCHE owner <nice>...

here's my story for the day...crusing along 19th this morning in traffic, a white older couple i'd say late 50's+ were driving a bone stock think it's the goldish color coupe. mine's all jdm'd out with the gialla grille, tinted windows, brembos, de-badged trunk cept for 350GT and plus I was watching "HEROS" while I was stuck in traffic. The older lady kept looking over and was in "awe" and they kept checking out my mods and waived...!!!

my experience with G owners...either young asian guys who fix up the G or older white guys "bone stock"...nothing wrong with that...different demographics but we all have great taste in the cars we drive...

lot of times when I'm driving, other g owners who just bought their cars or have their cars "stock", give me the thumbs up...!!!

any other positive or negative experience since owning your g's?

share your story...!!!

i assumed there would be button control since i didn't see a niche to pull it open.. after feeling up on it and tryin to pry it open w/ my fingers, i figured it out.

yeah ... not as cool as yours

I dont have any negative experiences with the G or Z, most of the time we would waved at each others so I thought it was nice gesture!! Just some time I got these old american made car tailed gate me, not sure they were late or just want to ruin up their car engines! I just change lane and let them pass, feel sorry for the car.

I was on my way home from work about a month ago and in some light traffic and a guy and his GF were behind me and I could not figure out why he kept leaning out his window until he got next to me and he was snapping pics of my G with his camera phone. Every time he would take a pic he would show it right away to his GF who was driving. He must have taken 5 or 6 all the way from behind to the front of the car. It was a good day.

Memories.....

Had a guy at the gas station I go to...about my age, ask me if that was a special edition Skyline and how did I get it into the States and it looks just like the G's here.
Hehe...told him it's a G, but I rebadged it to what they are elsewhere in the in world. He smiled, nodded and said, haha you got me on that one and were those custom made emblems. I said no, they're for an actual Skyline 350GT from Nissan. He thought that was really cool and complemented me on how it looks and my whole V35 in general.

Many other times I get peeps giving me the thumbs up.

Another time a bunch of kids in their Scion were about ready to fall out of their car through the windows and were taking snaps of my ride. They were swerving all around me on the freeway getting every angle they could...haha...kids.

I had some "not sure" experienced with Scion. What's up with this car. One time there was guy about my age, mid's 20 with his girl on the passenger seat,. Somehow as soon the green light, he speeds like I was on his tail rather than I was side by side with him. I could get two of the scion for the price of the G....geez!! hopefully he would impresses his woman! LOL

Well heck, I just messed up the curve. hmmm...maybe an older white chick counts? haha...I sound positively elderly that way.

The times I get comments are when the windows are down in traffic. I've even had a guy on a motorcycle pass me, slow down, look at my rims, then give the thumbs up and take off.

My buddy and I were coming home from an auto show
headed north on I-5. We were surrounded by Harley
bikers going the same direction. This chick gives us
