Hey guys,

I've just got word from my friends at DSR (DynoSpotRacing) that they're going to hold a Dyno Day on Dec 9th. If more people prefer Dec 10th, we will change the date.

Information is as follows:

DSR owns and operates a DynoJet 248H dynamometer in their facility. They are willing to open up their facility to all cars on Dec 9th or 10th. The rates are:

More than 10 cars that day:
3 Pulls -> $65 with no AFR readings
3 Pulls -> $85 with AFR readings

Less than 10 cars that day:
3 Pulls -> $85 with no AFR readings
3 Pulls -> $125 wit AFR readings

This is a semi dyno day slash car meet as well so people are very, very welcome to hang out, check out the different variety of cars (i.e. Zs, Gs, M3s, etc). Check out their website: DynoSpotRacing Homepage

If A LOT of cars show up, we might invoke a time slot system so people won't be waiting days for their pulls.

This will be a great time to check out how your mods are and get a baseline dyno for those of you with no mods (VERY IMPORTANT). And if you want, they do have tuners their so next time you can just setup a time and the professional tuners can give you tuning time. No offense, but those are not very good group rates.
I can get 3 pulls w/ AF with no group rate for $70 at Mod a Car in Livermore.
Just did a dyno day in Concord not that long ago, 3pulls w/AF for $30 bones.
I'd consider going, but not at those prices...sorry.

 

i've been to dyno spot before.. like 06cpv35 said, they're a rip off.

modacar had a dyno day for $40 dollars with a/f 3 runs.

 

yeah they rip on dynoruns. someone set up a group dynomeet at modacar then.

 

Modacar has raised their prices from previous dyno days, but I still think it's around $65-70 for 3 runs with A/F. I'll try and stop by on my way home to see if they have any weekends free for a dyno day. I know others on the forums live nearby, so maybe they can check too.

 

Modacar said they had Sat. Dec. 9th and Sat. Dec. 30th available for dyno days. 10 car minimum; $50 per car; 3 runs with a/f. Let me know if there's any interest for either day and we'll go from there.

 

I called for a spring install and they wanted $450, are you kidding me!

The dyno day for DSR is still on from what I know. There didn't seem to be enough interest for Modacar, so it hasn't been booked. Have a good meet/dyno day for those going.

For those interested in a future dyno day at Modacar because of the lower prices, I'm sure we can schedule on out. We just need the interest and probably a longer lead time to help build the interest.
