Exclamation 60K Car Service?

Is it worth to spend $600 something for the 60K service? I've checked the 60K service list and 80% would be inspection/check part. I was wondering if I can get most of the stuff from the dealer like spark plugs, oil, fuel, transmission fluid, I can change at home!! Not sure if this is a good idea but surely it would save me a lot of green!!!

WHat do you guys think?? thanks

What are they offering for $600 other than "inspection"?

I say if you know how to do it, do it yourself and save yourself the money. Or since I'm assuming you're out of warranty, take it to a trusted mechanic.

Yes and no. For some minor change like air, oil or just recently, the Transmission Fluid, I would do myself. All the parts I got from Nissan dealership. Still the major service, I would bring it to the dealer to get some record on their system. About this 60K service, I would do it myself. I would get the parts from Nissan and one of my dad friend who is a good mechanic would change the belts, save a lot of labor cost!!!!

sorry to bring this thread from the dead, but i'm currently in a situation where i passed 60k.

you guys recommend going to an infiniti dealership and forking out the 700+ bones to do the service?

can a forum member or another shop do it cheaper? i don't want to DIY since i don't have time =/

thanks everyone and happy NYE!!

I would just have the fluids and filters changed. Your belts probably don't even need replacing because even if they are showing signs of wear doesn't mean they need to be replaced. Do the differential and transmission fluid and air filter and you'll be all set.
