ok so my 3rd gear is giving me trouble shifting around 6k rpm. It doesn't do it all the time but sometimes it just won't go into gear at that RPM. Driving slow is fine though. I also get that howling/whistling noise the first 5-10 minutes of driving. The faster I go the pitch of the howling changes.. I was reading it might be the tranny.

So has anybody have the dealer change their transmission under warranty with no hassle? It seems like oakland is one of the better places around here..

 

My tranny was replaced under warranty at infiniti of pleasanton.

my 3rd gear does that too..."grinds" in 3rd gear at high rpm...
