anybody ever use this stuff (Veil)?

Howdy fellow NorCal's

I think I made a big fat $ 90 mistake.....

Anybody have any experience with the "Veil" anti-Lidar coating for you headlight lenses ? I went through 3/4 of a can of this stuff trying to get it to coat evenly (~ 10 apps per can they say ). First tried putting it on real thin, and it looked streaky and horrible ! Next I tried a heavy coat, no more streaks, but now big clumpy blothces and runs , and equally horrible. Washed the crap off with rubbing alcohol each time(thank God no damage to lenses or paint) and after 4 tries gave up.

And a related question. Would overlays work just as well at retarding the laser reflections ? Is there any other products out there for this? I don't really want to invest 400+ in a radar jammer, which I think is illegal any way.

Thanks for any info, Paul

Thanks Wess - good thread from the exotics forum. LIDAR is real and is here now in NorCal. I hope the countermeasure folks continue to R&D new products. The Veil is a great idea (retard
reflection range), just a pain in the a** to apply evenly. I'm going to PM the company for more advice.
