Infiniti of Serramonte for warranty service?
Hi guys... I need to take my car in for warranty on the driver's seat that seems loose and my window that gets stuck. I heard that people dislike Serramonte, but you think it is okay to take it in just for those services? I heard Infiniti of Oakland is great, but Serramonte is pretty close to me.
Do a search for Serramonte and you'll find mixed reviews. I wouldn't bring my car there if they paid me to...
I've heard great things about Oakland, and I've had great experiences with Peninsula in Redwood City.

I have had nothing but an excellent service experience at Serramonte. My mods don't seem to bother them in the least bit when I have gone in for services such as brake squeal, rattles, engine oil consumption, rear axle clicking noises, and the like.
The TSB for your seat is as follows:

Good luck to you regardless of where you choose to go.

I had that issue with my driver's seat too. It seemed to rock a little from day one. Then about 2 months ago, I got in and took off and it really leaned back. I took it apart to fix it but quickly found it be a broken weld and not a loose bolt as I assumed. I took it to Elk Grove and they fixed it in about 3 hours, before I even got home. The rep wasn't sure if he could fix it quickly because he might have had to order the part but apparently it's the same part # on all 1st gen sedans. He said it was fairly common. They didn't sweat all my mods or even my check engine light that I didn't want them checking out. I bought my car at Serramonte but it's too far for me to drive for service. I have no problem taking it to any dealer for service. I say take it to them, if they can't fix your 2 easy problems, don't go back any more.

Yea, I've had the opposite experience. Serramonte has always been nice to me, while Redwood City Infiniti seemed very arrogant. That was just my experience when I tried to buy my car. Maybe they are better now.
I've had several good experiences with Serramonte. Just last week I took my car in for an oil change and to have my brakes checked out. I also mentioned several TSB and John took very good care of me. I dropped my car off at 9am and everything was taken care of by 4pm. To my surprise John hooked me up by replacing both my front rotors and pads in addition he eliminated a clicking sound that I had for he past several months. My car is lowered with several mods and it didn't seem to be a problem. Once again props to John and Pete at Infiniti of Serramonte.
