It's just a shame you had to go through it AND go through it during a meet. Don't get me started on how they screwed you over for just 5 miles. If you had known that you were that close to the radius, it wouldn't have taken more than a few guys to push you back some.

As far as the pivot bolt goes, I guess that's good news, but if they're going to drop the tranny you should, hopefully, get more than that while they're at it. With them footing the bill, of course.

From one first-floor-99-bottle-person to another, good luck, Armand.

Brian called today with an update after they dropped the transmission.

They feel that there was a lot of heat build up in the clutch disc and plate which in turn stiffened the components up and caused too much stress in the system. Under warranty they are replacing everything including the clutch disc and slave cylinder.

The only thing that bums me out is it makes me wonder how well the car was treated before I bought it

Yeah thats the only thing about buying used. Who knows how the prior owner treated the clutch.
BUT...at least after they're done with everytrhing, you'll be good to go and it'll be new. Thank goodness for warranty.

Got my car back today. Brian took very very good care of me at Peninsula Infiniti. Under warranty 8 parts were replaced that failed, damaged and lead to the failure, or were damaged in the failure.

The replaced parts were:
Flywheel
Clutch Disc
Cover Assy (Pressure Plate)
Throwout Bearing
Release Fork
Fork Pivot (pin-ball)
Slave Cylinder assembly
clutch shaft bushing

The service was excellent, as far as I can tell the car was handeled well by the dealer and the tow truck driver and service.

The clutch feels COMPLETELY different now. It's literaly 50% easier to actuate.
Big thanks to Shane for helping me out so much
Big ups to Brian and Peninsula Infiniti for making the repairs of the car super hassle free.
I come away from this knowing now what a G35 clutch is suppose to feel like and what it's NOT suppose to feel like.

Great to heard Armond.
Now your good to go for a long time in that area with no worries.
See you maybe at the next meet and next time we all going for a pass, you won't be saying in the middle of the pass, WTH???
And I won't be saying, huh...see him making the pass, wait...where'd he go...

Take care.

Haha Thanks John, yea I shoud be good to go on the clutch for a long time. Hell I got over 100k out of the one on my Twin Turbo Z. I better be able to get just as much out of this one.
I thought for sure all this work would get rid of this that horrible rattle that occurs when I shut the car off, but it didn't affect it at all

Dang...I remember us talking about that and you heard on my G too. But mine is my exhaust pipe/rear sway.
To bad we don't know someone with a lift, then we could check yours out better for that rattle. I hate crawling under mine on stands
