i think evening traffic will be bad. no 880S access and no 580E access from 80. people are going to CRAM that grand ave exit or head up 80 into emeryville. i'm going to be shooting for that powell st. exit to take surface streets back to rockridge.

I feel so bad for everyone that has to drive through there everyday for work. Traffic in that area is already bad enough.

i hate to admit it but traffic seems lighter. got into work this morning in 20 minutes (10am departure time). last night's drive home was 35 minutes departing @ 4:30pm (including a lot more surface streets ... grand ave to broadway). tonight will be interesting... i'm either leaving early again or around 7.

I've had easy commutes too.
On the way home I don't hit anything until the end of 24 in Walnut Creek.
There wasn't even a backup at the Caldecott.
It's weird to be home early. Crossing my fingers and toes it stays that way.

I was stuck in BAD traffic on the way home from work today. I work in Walnut Creek and live in Antioch and it took me 2.5 hours!!!!!

From what I heard, there was a motorcycle accident and had to stop traffic for a helicopter to land on the freeway. Needless to say I wasn't happy at all just sitting there.

It was a news station (FOX 2) that was covering the motorcycle accident in their little airplane, and something went wrong so they had to make an emergency landing on the freeway.
