Difference between men and boys are the price of their toys...
And cost of their projects/hobbies....

Very, very awesome!! I'm envious of you and your resources.

Most of the wetsanding/polishing is complete, so the car is slowly getting pieced back together. In the pics, the hood isn't shut, and the trunk isn't aligned, but we checked fitment before it hit paint and it was perfect. One issue I ran into was that the PDC sensors are still Carbon Black- anybody know if these could be painted over, or do I have to order new PDC sensors?

The moldings were all painted today, and my tint shop is retinting the rear glass with a different film before we put it back in (the rest of the car will be retinted as well once I have it back).
The PDC are in body colors so I guess it would be ok to be painted over...are those round plastic tab are just the covers or it is sensors itself?

I guess it DOES look better AW... Almost as good as SG! =O

I like how they did the vents. Most people paint in between each flap of the of the vent on the outer rim but this way is MUCH cleaner. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Things are starting to come together. The whole car was retinted with 3M film. Since I had the rear window out, they were able to spend a lot of time getting the tint to bond with the dot matrix, and the end result is amazing.

I picked up a new goody. An Eisenhaus Meisterschaft Titanium exhaust to replace the Eisenmann Race- this should be quite a bit louder, and 40+ lbs lighter. I'll be installing it tomorrow.

Also, the front bumper is finally going on. These pictures show the process of it being fitted (I left before they completed the final perfect fitment).

Things left to do:
  • Reassemble interior of hardtop
  • Install all moldings
  • Polish hardtop, bootlid, hood
  • Go over a few small odds and ends
There is a very good chance I will get the car back tomorrow. That would bring the total project time to 44 days. I plan to work late into the night installing the new exhaust and my JIC/Cross Competition suspension, and finally get the chance to start enjoying my car.

I can't say enough good things about the workmanship at International Autobody. It seems any time I have doubts, or read about how things should be done online, I come in to discuss with the workers, and that's exactly how they've done the work.

Thanks Wes. I should be in Walnut Creek this weekend, so if you see/hear me zooming by, stop me.

The smaller hole is where the tow hook goes. There's a painted piece that pops in there to cover it. The bumper is the same one that's on the M3 CSL. It was designed to create a ram air affect and force air into the intake...

I hope you enjoy the Meisterschaft titanium muffler Boris. I really liked it on my car with the Rogue rasp pipe.
