Never posted pics of my new car here.

Hehehehe. Not a wrecked car, I bought it brand new and brought it to this shop like this:
I put it into the shop for some custom bodywork and a new paint job. One of my instructions to the shop was to leave no sign of its original exterior color. I hate that color! When I purchased my M3, it was one of the last 6 left in California. I was set on a base model coupe, but got stuck with a fully loaded vert due to the car being out of production.
I initially planned to go much more wild with this car, some more outrageous bodywork, and an exotic color, but I've decided to tone it down a bit...for now.
Here's all of the progress pics I've taken- bear with the camera-phone quality...
Day Five
Day Seven
The fenders, doors, rear quarter panels and roof have been stripped down to bare metal and prepped for primer. They're putting on some special curing primer that adheres to the metal, followed by your standard line-filler primer, sealant, and finally many layers of paint and clear.
Day Eight
The anti-corrosive coating and metal primer was applied today:
And prep work started on the double-sided CF V-CSL bootlid:
Day Nine
Test fit of V-GTR hood- fitment is perfect, so time for prep/primer:
After fitting the bootlid, the shop sanded down the inner taillight housings for a flush fit, and it was prepped and primered:
And, all of the metal panels have been prepped for primer and paint:
