Thanks for the advice and well-wishes everyone. The G was parked in the car port and the guy simply swung a little too wide.

I took her to a Geico estimator yesterday afternoon and walked out with a check. Nothing was signed (by me), and the estimate is open-ended (in writing) in case anything further is found.

The rear rim is being replaced, and I'm wondering...should I hang onto the old one and try to sell it? Other than what looks like curb rash it's fine. Can these things be polished out? It's a 19" 07 coupe sport.

Your neighbor was honest which SHOULD be the norm but good thing he owned up to it. Isn't HE or HIS insurance going to cover it?

Either way if my neighbor hit my new car, I'd make him buy it from me and I'd go but another one.

Thanks for the links. I'll definitely keep the old rim and sell it.

Yes, his insurance paid (Geico). It happened Monday night, I called Tuesday morning, and had a check in my hand that afternoon.

I'll post pics of the damage once I figure out why my card is showing up as blank in the reader.
