Have you seen or read this thread

The crack is CF layer and CF fiber teared on top.

Some people mentioned that the crack will get bigger if it was not treated. So, I am going to try to fix it ASAP.

Hmmm...not sure if the ppl I've used deals with CF, but they do top notch work with polyurethane and the usual metal body stuff + great paint match.
Local Dealer here uses them for their body work.
Give Travis Auto Body a call in Fairfield.
1350 N. Texas Street (almost at Travis Blvd intersection)
707-425-8848
Ask for Hameed.

Is CF kinda like Fiberglass in the fabrication/repair process?
IMO, I'd still file claim w/shipper and try to get replaced with new one if no plans to paint your hood.
Have no idea how CF repair is done w/o paint after, in covering repair and still look good.
Is that even possible?
G/L Andy.

I went to a total of 3 body shops and none were able to fix the crack. They all told me to sand down the crack and paint it.

I sent photos of the cracks and ask William to see if he could fix it.

Hi Andy

To repair the hood is estimate at $300. First we have to fit the cracked area then smooth it out.
The hood has to be re-clear. We cannot do spot repair.

William
Thanks superdds for recommending William. I PMed jim and let him know about it. Let's see what his response is.

I already talked to him on the phone and emailed him the photos. He called me back and gave me the estimated cost to fix the CF.
