I second Aqua for great seafood...not very romantic though, more corporate types on expense accounts. Bar Crudo is quaint and serves exceptional seafood (a lot of it raw). Go for some oysters...

Tim, not sure which day you'll be out here, or at what time, but I had a friend pull some strings and secured a reservation for you on Saturday night at AQUA @ 8:45PM.

If you decide to go there, definitely go with their 7-course prefixed menu:

Dress shoes, slacks or jeans, and a button up shirt will guarantee that they don't ask you to leave.

So I called the GF and she took a look at the Aqua site. She said it is not her kind of place. A little too "upscale" since we want to hang around the city all day first.

But thank you very, very much for making the call for me.

No problem. I figured you may have been interested as it would have been an excellent setting for the proposal she doesn't know is coming. If you're looking for something more laid back and casual, check out: http://www.palomino.com/

I never said I go there often...

I just looked at the Franciscan's menu, and damn that prime rib sounds enticing. My fiancee is a crab fiend, so we'll definitely shoot out there this weekend.

Bingo!

That place looks perfect. I am going to make reservations right now.

I doubt I will propose there but who knows. It will happen when the right time comes up.
