One day in San Francisco, what to do?

Hi guys,

So the GF and I will be taking a rented FX into San Francisco for the day this weekend. We just want to hang out, eat and see the sites.

Oh and I am going to pop the question.

Any advice you can offer on what to see and where to eat would be very appreciated!

Thanks!
Tim

congrats! coit tower, twin peaks, the presidio, palace of fine arts, the piers are all romantic places to take your girl.

make sure you get some good eats in! sf is a foodie city. might not have much luck but you could try for a reservation @ gary danko's. boulevard, ozumo, carnelia room, el rey pakal, coi and slanted door are other good spots to check out.

You can pop the question to her anytime, but you're only gonna be in SF for one day, so hang with your fellow G drivers instead.

What day are you planning on coming out here?

If you're looking for an upscale restaurant and can't get a reservation at Gary Danko's, check out AQUA or CHAYA, even though neither of them will be any easier.

As for the sights, typical touristy stuff includes Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, North Beach, and Union Square.

Absinthe. It's in Hayes Valley. Tell them you are going to propose, they will set aside a booth for you. Try the Coq Au Vin. Have fun!

Thanks Boris

I will come back up and visit my fellow G buddies, I promise! I fly around the world and work on airplane systems for my job but have never been to SF.

You can try the Cliffhouse. Amazing view and great seafood.

http://www.cliffhouse.com/

also a Wedding Reception there, so you know it'll look really nice inside.
they also do online reservations, but i suggest you call in after you set one up to confirm and make sure they did it right.

also send me a PM and i'll see what i can hook you up with for like free tourist stuff to do. nothing super, but hey, its free =)

but in return, i request for you to lemme mash on your G till the BOV goes off =) j/k
