Hey G-Girl, I think that's a great idea.
It's easier than many people think to jump in your car and start thinking about the things you've got to get done at work. The kid in the back seat doesn't usually make any noise. Before you know it, you're at work and at your desk working on things.
That little reminder sitting next to a laptop might be just the trick.

I would think the day care would notify the parents right within an hour of that morning. A good day care would do that. No matter what charge upon him, I am sure he would have to carry this horrible mistake for the rest of his life; not mention to deal with his wife and family members. I wonder if he has just one child or 8, some time some people tend to forget when they have too many childrens. That's why I only plan to have two...if I found that special lady!!! Very sad story indeed.

Good idea bout the day care ppl. Hope the DA is a parent too and knows in his/her heart this tragedy was not premeditated.
Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. Heard over the years stories of the same.
Weeks upon months of sleep deprivation can really affect ppl. I remember it well with my two way back then.
My condolences to the family.

Good question....as tired as I was back then, never forgot about having the kiddies in the car.I always put one of them in the middle back seat in their car seat (safest place for them anyways) and everytime I looked in the rear view mirror to check traffic, etc. I'd always be reminded that I had one or both of them with me.
