Gillian, if you feel inclined to do so, let us know where you winded up at and how it went.

If that info is to personal for you to share on here, I'm sure we will understand

Have fun!

okay, then if he's good enough make it for your second date (and ship me the leftovers )

you get free ribs? i want some. good bbq joints are few and far between in San Diego. taste good, but they lack soul.

good luck getting reservations. i have been trying for the past year and a half. it's the same with thomas keller's other restaurant "per se" in new york city. they take phone reservations two months to the day. the reservation line opens at 10am...by 10:10am, they are booked.

You don’t want to pick place that is “quiet” (reads elegant ), maybe hard to carry on a conversation since you two can hear everything or he might simply be bored and want to end the evening prematurely (could be a disaster ). Now, how long have she know him? Were they acquaintances for while or he is guy she just met, if he is later? You sure don’t want goto a place that isn’t bit crowded, just in case he turn out to be bit on the boring side, that way she can keep herself entertained by watching other ppl and make her get-away that much easier.

So after carefully analyzing the situation,? I come to this perfect place…TACO BELL, why? You might ask, if she picked Taco Bell he will think she is discerning yet frugal, audacious yet gracious, exuberant yet collected…thats Grace we all knew, PERFECT, no?

its funny you say taco bell, have you ever seen that taco bell on the beach in pacifica? it was rated one of the most romatic places in the bay area lol

Grace, how about just having a cocktail to see if you want to spend anymore time w/ this guy? That way you can pretty much gauge it from there. Just a suggestion.

Sorry to change the subject Grace, but I want to ask this question, what do you guys normally do or expect on a first date when you guys meet a girl? YOu ask her out so you can get to know her more... what sort of venue or event would you take her on your first date?

I guess to me, Chez ***** is appropriate. It's quiet, you and your date can talk and not yell above the noise. Skates is nice, same type of atmosphere, the view of SF is breathtaking.

Let's here it guys.... just want to know.
hmmmm.... sounds like a place not to take a dude??
