Angry I'm mad

I bought a charger/ipod holder that plugs into the G's lighter. I noticed it was a tight fight when I inserted it into the lighter but didn't think nothing of it until I got home and tried to pull it out. The thing wouldn't budge so I pulled harder. That's when the whole lighter housing came out.

I tried using vice grips to hold the metal lighter sleeve while I pulled on the charger thing but it wont budge. Even if I manage to pull it out some how, I'm stuck with a broken lighter (the sleeve wont stay in the ashtray) and the charger thing that cost like 90 that I never want to stick back in the lighter.

I'm pissed off.

Any one have any ideas on what I might be able to do or how much it might cost me?

i plugged my ipod cable into the lighter in the dash, and it wouldnt even turn on, or maybe I didn't push hard enough.. I would always use the outlet in the center console under the armrest(or whatever it's called)

Thanks, Chris.

I'm stressed out like everyone else must be. The flat tire didn't get to me, this however, got to me. At least one of my brothers tried to make me feel better last night.

I haven't seen the game yet cause I was too busy watching the Niners. Glad the Warriors won though.

Hey, we should go to a game. My brother and I are trying to get tickets to at least one this year.

ROFL Same thing happend to me in a Loaner car from infiniti haha. my ipod adapter worked fine in my car, but in the loaner it got stuck, i was there for 20min trying to get the damn thing out, my suggestion is next time play with it to see which way it goes in and comes out smoothly, sometimes u have to push/twist then pull it out kinda hard to explain that.

I'll try that, thanks.

I was out there at 2am trying to do it. The more mad I got the worse it got. I need a few days to get into my "special place" before I $#%^ and yet the $%^& out.

That sucks, Rudy! Yeah, try as frog suggested. I have the same problem with the phone charger in my GF's Accord. So, usually I twist it around while pulling up and it comes out without any problems!.

Ya, I'll try again.

The problem with this thing is that it's also a ipod holder on an adjustable arm. In order to keep the thing from twisting around they put a rubber washer on the part that goes into the cigarette plug. That washer is in the shape of a gear with teeth. That's what's keeping it from coming out.

I'm gonna have to twist it like a safe cracker and hope I get lucky.

Damn, sounds like they designed that iPOD holder to never be removed from the car! What kind of holder is it? I just bought one and i can't wait to try it out! I'm hoping I don't have the same problem!
