I have already brought up the "G3" issue in private with the powers that be and it is not an issue as it was explained to me.

Ziffer, that's a really good picture of the Golden Gate Bridge at that angle which gives me a good idea. I'm going to try to draw up a logo with the outline of the bridge at that angle with the logo of "Golden Gate G35 Club" under the bridge. Seems simple enough.

I don't think that the bridge icon was in question. I thought the worry came form the "G3" reference and Apple getting pissed.

Anyways, IQ9 you bring up a very good point..

maybe we could put in an O somewhere in the picture to represent owner...

Also, I had in mind the triple g club..instead of G3...

 

The "G3" Apple statement I made was not ment to state that we will get sued, If it is Trade Marked then thats another story... But in building a "Brand" in this case the Club Image, you want it to stand out and not be mistaken for something else, ie: "G3" computer, pen,another company, nor another "club" etc... It can be abriviated to G3 but should not really have it in the name.

I personally would rather see G35 over G3 since people would then associate the car with the G35 and not have to wonder.

A vote is a really good idea. If we are all in the same room/area the ideas may come faster. The creative types should do very well free handing stuff at the meet and everyone can vote.The final product(s) get some polish and we vote on the top one after the meet. Just an idea-flame me if you need to.

I came across this picture and it gave me an idea...

How would it look if we did an outline of this image then put the front profile of the G on the road? The fronts on the coupe and sedan are similar, so hopefully having just the front won't make anyone feel that we are playing favorites.

I am not artistically gifted, or else I would put the idea on paper. I will try to make the meet, but if I can't I hope everyone has a good time.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Great job, hopefully everyone else will like it. The only thing that I could see being changed is have the 3 in G35 look more like a 3 so that some idiot could really easily figure it out.

like the letters below the bridge.
