Just saw an accident happen
Driving home this afternoon on 24 I watched an older Accord weaving in and out of traffic. It flashed through my mind it was an accident waiting to happen. Sure enough, not a minute later, it spun out and hit the center divide throwing car parts everywhere across the road. Luckily we all were far enough away to slow down and avoid the debris flying across the road. I barely missed the front bumper being blown across my lane.
Slow down everyone and drive safe.
If you don't have to be anywhere, stay warm and dry at home.

I usually see the older, non sporty cars driving like that. Dont they know that even in dry conditions, their cars do not handle well so what do they think will happen in rain like this???

Glad you and your G are fine Gillian.
Had to drive the 80 this morning to the Dealer and it was crazy with the wind and rain.
No accidents, but learned of many new pot holes the rain caused
Then was in a loaner rest of the day and didn't care about pot holes anymore

I saw a moron in an Ford pickup barreling down I-5 this afternoon going close to 90 when the rain was falling the hardest. This guy was cutting in and out and I saw him approaching, so I moved out of his way. I thought the same exact thing, about an accident waiting to happen, and it probably could have happened, but I exited by then.
Either way, glad to hear you're okay. No power outtage at my work due to the property managers having an on site generator (bastards), but I left early anyways.

There are idiot drivers out there. They still drive as if the pavement's dry. I was driving on Thursday and people are driving 5 feet away from each other going 70mph in the rain! Idiots! I saw 4 accidents within 1 mile of each other... all of them hit each other because they were too close. Idiots!
People, keep your distance. And SIGNAL, use your signals! it's there for a reason. I'm just glad you're okay Grace.
