high speed braking is fine if your rotors are warmed up. the problem is doing that with wet rotors which can lead to them getting uneven faster.

I see. Ok then, time to really take a good look at them and see if they need replacement.

how do u get wet rotors when ur driving? lol ur rotors are spinning so fast no water can collect on it and ur pads and rotors are always touching so the pad will push the water away .


here are the ways to warp ur rotors

-high speed stoping
-riding the brakes
-uneven temperature changes
-over tightening ur lugs

rotors get wet when you drive through puddles or during car washes. that's why after a car wash or after driving through puddles, high speed stops are not advisable. i didn't say anything about rotors getting wet while driving. anyway the only reason i pointed out the water is because it causes temperature changes in the rotors.

u dont think after u drive after a car wash or puddle the water get spun off? and with our cars tires being so wide and rims so tall when u drive through a puddle the water gets splashed outwards?


i give up lol nate i will check ur rotors sunday.

i think it gets spun off, but it can also cool the rotors down a bunch. just saying i've heard this advice from several places.

Boo! Ay, Kris, it doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to get off work today.

And you probably don't want to be driving the van in rain, anyway.

I'd say Saturday for sure, but it supposed to rain that day, too.

dont care, i am down to drive down, its only rain, the storm starts tomorrow and friday. What time u getting off?
