Approx header install time?

Header install on a 03 coupe, how long should it take and how much do you think is a good price for the labor?

I just got my Strup headers and looking to get it installed. Most my shop buddies dont want to tackle it without a lift. Ive been quoted anywhere from $300 to $800 to install. Some say its a 2 hr job, while others say its 6-7 hrs. I dont want to take it just to anyone who may not have installed one before and might F it up.

it much closer to 6-7++ hrs than 2 hrs. If you can get it done for $300, thats a good deal.

One of our labor guides says 4.4 hrs and another says 4.8 hrs. $300 sounds like a great deal--unless they underestimated the job and thought they could do it in 2 hrs, looking to charge $150/hr. then they'll say it took longer than expected and want to charge you more.

$300? they probably haven't done any yet on a g35...putting the new headers is relatively easy...it's taking the old ones out that's hard. Be ready for at least 7+ hours.

^ And then demand they pay you for your time waiting for them. If it takes 8 hours, then they owe you ~$900 (6 hours at their rate of $150/hr).
