Who's putting down a deposit for a GT-R?

I sold off my weekend car and my A3 is quick and peppy, but I believe it's time to go back to Nissan/Infiniti. I am tracking down all the local dealerships in my area to find a quote on deposits. One dealership is asking $25k over MSRP with 10% deposit and the other is $5k deposit with $15k over MSRP. Nice. Word is that they will be releasing them in the Sacramento area in August/September. When I do put my deposit down, I'm choosing Ivory Pearl. mmmmm.

I completely agree. I'm doing three major things at the same time(hopefully): buy a new home, get married/honeymoon, and get this GT-R. Although, getting the GT-R will probably negate the marriage because my fiance will go nuts, but I'll still get a new home

That's cool to be one of the first to drive and own GTR. Be sure to enjoy it and drive it often. Don't let it be a garage queen for the next owner.

I know the GTR is arriving in 2 weeks in my area.

Absolutely. The thing will retain it's value easily. I just hope there's no first production model bugs, which I know there will be. But at least nothing major. So regardless, I will pack on the miles, mainly since my job I drive around meeting clients all day.

Nice but I just dont see the point in paying that much for the GTR. I mean as long as there are TT G35's and 350z's who needs it. Dont get me wrong its a nice ride but damn that price is "whoa". BTW whats insurance running on it?

I have found a dealer who is going to sell me at MSRP, but I can't disclose who until I sign the paperwork to finalize it.

Insurance wise, I have a call into my agent to ask how much it is, but it still should be less than one of my previous cars.

David that's a lot of things going on at the same time...lol. I will probably pass on this years model as I have house things going on also, time to look after real assets and investments and not play toys I think I have done enough to my G35 to keep me from straying to another car for awhile haha.
