I've posted this before, but here it is again. This is the lesson, courtesy of Chris Rock.

I know it is crazy.... but when your emotions are high because one of your fellow officers have been killed. I guess it is hard to say what any of us would do.

My initial reaction was that those fools got what they deserved. After watching it for the second time, I was very disappointed at the officers' actions.

Personally, I probably have behaved in the same manner. However, I do hold the officers to a higher standard, as they should be.

"Under color of authority" It's sad and embarrasing. Even if an officer isn't actively involved in the beat down, and is just watching, he could be in big trouble for not stopping those using excessive force. Civil liberties ring a bell? Even if you have different agencies involved. It's pretty sad but, I have arrested people that have said, "Thank you for treating me with respect and being so nice." I usually give them that stunned look and ask why they say that. The repsonse...."Last time I got arrested, **PD beat the crap out of me first, then asked questions." This behavior will never end. The chief of police may already be asking the ACLU, "How many zero's would you like on that check?"
