I think this is getting a bit out of hand here. I'm not sure why people started assuming that we were trying to organize a Sacto Drift™ club, but that's certainly not the case. Of the few runs we've made as a group, all cars were able to keep the pace, and certainly no one has gotten out of control/gone crazy. I'd like to think that our runs have been slightly aggressive - when not encumbered by traffic - and leisurely cruising - when encumbered, lol.

I'm pretty sure that none of us is looking to create some sort of racing/stupidity thing. We just want a way to go out in a group semi-regularly and challenge ourselves with fun twistie runs.

Does this seem like a fair representation of what we're talking about here?

^^ agreed. I don't think any of us that have been on these runs have been looking to race or do anything stupid. I think that's a given. If this ever changes, I will not be participating. Even though SexyG35 mentioned street racing in his past, this is not the purpose of these meets/runs, and I think SexyG35 is aware of this as well.

I don't know why people are saying I started the whole racing thing. If you go through all my posts, not once did I mention yeah we are organizing this event for racing. I agreed to to help with whatever is needed for us to organize a safe and fun drive for everyone thats all, so can we go ahead and get my name out this racing conversation. Thanks.

I was just joshing you bro.

So how about we continue looking for interested attendees and possible venues.

Wes, since you're the mastermind, have you any idea when you'd like to kick this off? Or would you rather a few of us go and scope some prospective runs or something first?

Talk to Andy or Shane.
They've set up a ton of these and I'm sure they have a few pointers.

I just wanted to make sure that nobody was scared off haha.

If you guys don't mind, I'd like to join you if you scope out some runs. PM me if it happens.

We should definitely do this, Wes. I know they've set up tons of runs and meets.

well all this talk and no action, so what do we say to 6/14 for the first one? That gives everyone time to arrange their schedules accordingly. Weekends will work best for the majority of the group I assume. We can set up a PM list if you want to keep details silent, although I don't really see the need.

Ok, so I believe John and I will do some scoping soon and get some details online. I think as g35/7 owners I have always been impressed by the respect and low key-ness (not a word i know) about us all. On the meets and cruises I have been on not once has an Infiniti owner showed off or got out of control, so I hope this continues with future meets including the twisties.

I will keep you all updated on what we come up with for the dates and times. Speaking of... Grace, you would want to join us? Wow all the way from Walnut Creek to Auburn? Andy or Shane please gice some input or I will just PM you guys asking you allll about organizing big events

I had posted a "third saturday of every month" idea above mainly because the second saturday (6/14) is a local Barnes and Noble meet with some M3 people. In case people would want to do both, I figured the 3rd week would be better.

I just Google mapped it. It's an hour and 45 minutes from me.
If I could encourage my b/f to go and make a weekend of it, of course I'd show.
I'm up for twistie drives anytime.
