I think the idea is fantastic. We need some of the regulars to post up and sign on to the idea.

We'll need to research some other likely candidates for runs... That'll be fun.

I would definitely be interested! Will depend on when it is though...my weekends just got really really busy for the summer. Great idea though, I hope I can make it out to one of them.

I'm interested in this one... it'd be an all day type of deal.

That's the run I was talking about as an end of the year, advanced, run that's 4 hrs long! There must be more people interested than just us 3!

Depends on the days we can make this happen. I would be game, schedule permitting.

Hey Wes, this is a great idea. I'm interested in the shorter runs as well as the more advanced runs. Let me know if you need my help coordinating.

I am sure there will be few more ppl interested out there, but at same time? you dont really want an big group go on this type of drive, then you have to worry about if everyone keeping up ok or if they got lost.

I would like to go with you guys on the drive, if I am still around by then.

+1 . . . A group of no more than 5 cars is ideal. Any more cars than that and you will have to deal with a whole different set of logistics.

I think the more the better to be honest with you. If someone is inexperienced and afraid to push their car to the limit, then don't sign up then. The runs are fun, intense and you have to fearless in my opinion. I don't think we should start excluding people now, but again that's what I think.

The organizer needs to set the tone for the run, if you will. Mixing inexperienced drivers with speed demons is not a prudent idea.

Is this a leisurely cruise?

Edit: Fearless equates to accidents and trouble from the LEO.

I want to stress the safety of such a run and for those who want to get to know their car should participate. I bought my G35 a year ago in March and my first run ever was the Monterey after(run) twisties and boy did I get to know my car (and BRAKES!!!) So I think some people need a place to learn how to handle their car, and the twisties im proposing would be a place to do so.

As for the numbers of people, I doubt everyone will have the same schedule and be able to attend ALL runs. With that said, we may still need to set a limit on the cars to make it easier for the drivers and... not cause sooooo much attention to ourselves when we drive through the small towns.

Here are some of my ideas for this type of event, please feel free to give input so we can boil down to what everyone wants.

Area: Auburn, Folsom, Placerville - Hwy 49, 193, Foresthill Rd, Mosquito Ridge, Marshal Rd, etc.

Number of Events: Once a month

Day: (I need input on the day, since if we do a weekday evening we can avoid the tourist traffic that is there on the weekends. If we do weekends we can do it early or later in the day. )

Car Limit: 5-7 per event

Committed Drivers: (please list if you want to help me coordinated/organize)
1. Wes (Organizer)
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

So please leave your input and let's see where we can take this!
