Tell him to call his Region manager if you have problem, most likely the same manager.

I'll definitely will.. Thank you.

Do you know how much you have to pay now for your ticket?

Did you get cited for modified engine as well (27156 VC)?

Hey now if say i get a exhaust system, say fast intentions, can i just go straight to the ref. to get it okayed so IF i do get pulled over for it, i can show them proof that it is emissions approved.

You need to ask G35 Chippie for that.

Ok, here's the deal. I spoke with the rep from the Bureau of Automotive repair today. This is the guy who is one of the instructors for the street racing/modified emissions class I took. He stated that you can do whatever you want with the exhaust aft of the cats, because "it is not an emissions control device" and therefore does not fall under the requirements of 27156(b). Modifying your exhaust still doesn't not relieve you from 27150 and 27151. Only the state referee can decide the 27151 part.

Ken---My rep wants me to give him the specific details of your situation. He stated the referee should not have been giving you a hard time regarding a cat-back system and he wants to set the referee straight on the matter. He needs specifics about your car (make, model, year, etc.) He also wants the name of the referee, supervisor, shop location, telephone number and such. Also your name and number. Best to PM me with it.

You need to be totally honest with me regarding all your mods. Someone could be getting a good tongue lashing at that referee station. I had to pull a few strings and I don't want to look bad (and I don't mean my looks, that can't be helped).

Good deal, Ken. I'm pleased to see that you finally got your situation resolved.

. . . And thanks to Chippie for his very informative input on the threads.
