Traffic Court questions?
so i got a ticket for going 78 in a 55 mph zone around midnight a few weeks ago. I was going with the flow of traffic and i guess the cop decides to pull me over even though 3 other cars were going just as fast.
I would like to fight it, but the last time i did myself, it didnt go too well.
Can someone refer me to a traffic court lawyer in San Francisco whos decently priced? basically bang for the buck..

I just came back from traffic court today and got mine recuded by 50%... If you try to fight it and lose you will have to pay full bail amount, not get traffic school and get a point on record. Cops can pick and choose who they wanna pull over out of a group of cars. I know it sucks azz but it might be to your disadvantage to try to fight it.

awww, the court wont lower the ticket....and least she didnt for me.....the guy clocked me going 90 on the freeway (65) even though my cruise control was set at 75, but the cop didnt care, either did the court. you admit guilty or not guilty.....then i had to pay more than what the ticket was for because of court fees....it was bs

every time I get a ticket I go to my lawyer.. guess what..
7 tickets later - clean record...
had an offense of.. a more then double of speed limit..
then 15 and 25, and 35... been to school only once.
Once arrested - not on the record
then I grew up and stopped speeding... :\

TO POSTPONE. CALL the court your suppose to show up at (I dont know how SF does it ,but in San Mateo it's either the North, Central or Southern branch) Ask them if they can postpone the court date for you. (Give some good excuse like, your in college and have midterms or finals..blah blah..) and they're usually do it!
Did you already do traffic school for either of the first two tickets? If so, then you can't go to traffic school anyhow. Four moving violations in one year? You could possibly get suspended by the DMV. On the other hand, if the judge finds you guilty of the third, the court may suspend you for up to 30 days. Depending on the judge. I'm not sure how liberal SF County commisioners are, but in Santa Clara County, they will drop the hammer. I don't think you have anything to lose at this point. I would saying fighting it is your best option. BTW, what section did you get cited for on this last ticket: 22350 VC, 22349(a) VC, or 22349(b) VC? And I'll spare you the lecture regarding altering your driving habits.
